Day fifteen and sixteen, Auckland, New Zealand

New Zealand is as one would have expected, nice. Great people, orderly society and more or less beautiful.

We only stayed in Aukland for transit, but managed to make a real touristy day out of it. Again we were amazed by the number of south east asians traveling here. Japanese and Koreans were every where, and her we also felt a strong presence of Chinese as the city (like many others) had a chinatown.

There are backpackers everywhere and a good and youthful atmosphere over the city. Visiting the SkyCity, a 250meter high tower we also got a glimps of how large the city actually was. Here at the tower brave people could test their limits by throwing themselves off the tower in a basejump like contraption plunging 192 meters down into the trafic of the streets below. Having just eaten, we figured it might have a bad effect on our hourly fresh supper and chose wicely(?) in only witnessing the dearing stunt.
